Joining a political party

There are lots of political parties in Australia.

A political party is a group of people who share the same:

• values – the beliefs that are important to us.

The 3 biggest ones in Australia are:

• The Australian Labor Party
• The Liberal National Party.

Being part of a political party lets you have your say about issues you care about.

But it is important to do your research.

Make sure you join a political party that shares your values.
