Eating good food is important to living a healthy life.

What you should eat may depend on your disability.

Good food usually includes:

  • vegetables and legumes, like lentils and beans
  • fruit
  • cereals and grains, like bread and oats
  • protein, like meat or tofu
  • dairy, like milk or cheese.

There are also foods and drinks you should try not to eat very often.

They include:

  • fatty foods, like chips
  • foods and drinks high in sugar, like lollies or soft drinks.

You can talk to your doctor about what you should eat.
