What is financial abuse?

Financial abuse is when someone:

  • uses money in ways that hurt you
  • controls your money.

Financial abuse can be when someone:

  • doesn’t let you choose how to spend your money
  • stops you from getting a job
  • forces you to buy things
  • forces you to sign contracts
  • stops you from managing your NDIS plan if you want to.
