Sexuality means who someone is sexually attracted to.

There are lots of different types of sexuality.

They include:

  • heterosexual – when a man and a woman are attracted to each other
  • homosexual, lesbian or gay – when a:
    • woman is attracted to other women
    • man is attracted to other men.
  • bisexual – when someone is attracted to men and women
  • asexual – when someone isn’t sexually attracted to men or women
  • pansexual – when someone is attracted to men and women and other genders.

The word queer can also be used for everyone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer or questioning, asexual and more (LGBTIQA+).
