Intersex people and healthcare

Many people with intersex variations have difficulties with their health.

These can include:

  • physical health problems
  • mental health issues.

Sometimes intersex people are forced to take medications or have treatments that change their bodies by their:

  • doctors
  • families.

This is a form of violence. Violence is never OK.
