What are our human rights?

Our human rights include the right to:

  • have our own thoughts and ideas
  • be treated the same as everyone else
  • live without violence – when someone hurts you physically
  • be treated fairly under the law and in the legal system
  • have privacy
  • get married and have a family
  • good food and a home
  • make decisions about our health
  • get healthcare and medicine when we need it
  • get a job and be paid fairly
  • get an education
  • vote in elections to help choose who is part of our government
  • get support from the government if we need it.
